We are pleased to inform you that all the photography you see on this site is the personal creation of Dwain Vermilyea, currently a resident of Wallowa, Oregon. Most images on this site were photographed using a digital Camera of one type or another. Dwain currently uses Nikon DSLR cameras including the D-70 and now the D-300,  but has also used Fujifilm, Kodak, and Olympus cameras in the past. In some instances he also uses a very old and completely and totally manual 35mm. There are instances when the effect Dwain wants can only be achieved on film and with the older camera and lenses.

We keep image manipulation in the computer to an absolute minimum. Mostly because we would rather be out shooting more pictures than sitting at a computer changing yesterdays work. Dwain believes that the image should be created as perfectly as possible in the camera first. Adjustments in the computer usually consists of deleting spots or defects from dust particles on the image sensor, or minor color corrections from time to time. Essentially the same thing that used to happen in the dark room when exposing and developing film. We will occasionally adjust an image to suit the needs of a client, or when we wish to create a  fine art photograph which is very rare for us. Those images are displayed on the Fine Arts Page of this site. If there are only a few images available there it's because we don't do it often and its mostly at the request of a customer for a specific purpose.

If you see a photograph that you would like produced in a larger or different size than those shown, or in another format than you find listed here,  please send us an email to let us know. Because we are a small,  home based business, we can work with you for the product you need.

While we currently do all our own printing for greeting cards. Larger prints are made by "TIS" (Technical Imaging Services) of Portland Oregon. They have the ability to do custom commercial printing at a very reasonable cost. They have the ability and expertise to do quality work in very large size prints up to and including wall murals for both indoor and outdoor applications. All prints other than greeting cards ordered from this site are printed by them and shipped directly to you from their shop in downdown Portland, Or.  They can be contacted at www.tisgrafix.com.
